Which areas do you cover?

Essence Event Bars is based in Somerset, we cover most of the South West of England, but happy to travel further afield if required, just contact us to discuss.

​

Can the bar be set up anywhere?

Pretty much, yes! We'll need a bit of information about access to your event beforehand, which we'll run through with you. i.e. ground floor access, access to water and electricity supply. Just let us know any special requirements at the time of booking.

How many people can you cater for?

We provide bars for events large or small. We'll provide sufficient staff for the size of your event and for large events we can provide more than one bar if needed.

​

How much does mobile bar hire cost?

For our full cash bar hire, we require a £200 booking fee, £300 if you need us before 5pm. This covers bar hire, glassware hire & staff and also reserves your date with us. A cash bar hire means we'll bring everything, and then you and your guests pay for all drinks at the bar. We understand that each event is unique, so we'll customise our services to your requirements.

Do you have card payment facilities at the bar?

Yes, we take both cash or card payments at the bar. Please note, we'll only offer card payment if WIFI is available at your event, as we'll need a good connection to run the card machine.

Can I choose which drinks to have?

We've got a fantastic bar menu covering a full range of beers, ales, wines, spirits, soft drinks at very reasonable prices. Of course, if there's anything additional you'd like on the menu, just let us know and we'll do our best to make sure it's available for your event!

What about adding Welcome or Wedding drinks packages?

Our Welcome drinks package starts from £3.90pp, and our Wedding drinks (reception, table and toasting drinks) packages start from just £8.80pp. All our packages are based on a minimum of 50 guests and any drinks packages will be payable 30 days before your event.

We really need a wedding drinks package, but not sure what drinks we'd like, or how much we need?

We'll be as flexible as possible to customise your drinks package entirely, from start to finish. We can also advise on quantities from our experience to ensure your event is well covered for every budget.

How much do your Cocktail, Gin and Prosecco party packages cost?

We offer great party packages, you'll pick from any of our parties including Cocktail party, Gin Party of Prosecco Party. These parties are £39.95 per person based on a minimum of 10 guests, and will include 3 premium drinks per person. Please note, these parties will require full payment to secure your date.

What if we want to provide the drinks?

This means you'll want a 'Dry hire bar' meaning we'll bring the bar, glassware and staff to serve your own drinks at your event.

  • Dry hire cost is charged £400 per 12ft bar 

  • Display fridge & Back Bar with optics hire £75

  • Bartender hire is charged at £25 per person, per hour (min 2 staff for 4 hours)

  • Disposable drinkware is included (required amount to be discussed when booking)

Payment is required in full to secure dry hire bookings.

Can I choose a theme?

Yes, of course! We offer themed bars including our LED Party Bar with colour changing features, and also our Rustic Bar! But if you have a different theme in mind, let us know when you're booking!

Do you serve cocktails?

Yes! Our trained bartenders can serve delicious cocktails for any events, just ask us about prices when booking!

​

Do you organise an alcohol licence?

Yes, we can apply for your temporary events notice. We'll ideally need 3-4 weeks’ notice to process your application, but just speak to us if you're unsure if you need one.

Do you carry insurance?

We hold Public Liability insurance for our events.

​

Do you require access to water & electricity?

It’s great if we can use an existing electricity & water supply for glass washing, fridges, lights, bar etc. But if not, just let us know beforehand and we'll make alternative arrangements.

How long do you need to set up your bar?

Generally, we'll need about an hour and a half. This may vary depending on your themed set up, location or access to your event. We'll be in contact beforehand to always ensure we arrive in good time to get drinks chilling in the fridge!

​

How far in advance do I need to book?

We would recommend booking as far in advance as possible. In general, we require at least 3 weeks notice to obtain a licence if needed. Weekends & Summer dates get booked up quickly, but we'll always let you know if we have availability on your chosen date. Please note, we are unable to secure your date until we receive your booking fee.
